Craig and Mary Thurman announce the engagement of their daughter, Jamie Thurman, to Brent Taylor, son of Daryl and Jan Taylor. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jim Thurman of Great Bend and Bud and Betty Thompson of North Platte, Neb. The prospective groom is the grandson of Mona Smith of Alliance, Neb.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Great Bend High School. She graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in biology and from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2007 with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. She practices dentistry in Lee’s Summit, Mo.
The prospective groom is a graduate of Alliance High School. He graduated from the University of Nebraska in 2009 where he earned his CPA in accounting and finance. He is employed by Edwards and Hayslett Accounting Firm in Parkville, Mo.
The weddings is planned for June 11, 2011 in Kansas City.
