Shannon Ward and Luke Snyder, of St. John, announce their engagement. The bride-elect is the daughter of Brett and Kathleen Ward, of St. John. The prospective groom is the son of Joe and Christie Snyder, of St. John. Grandparents of the bride-elect are Robert and Carolyn Ives of St. John and Harold and Jolene Ward of Oklahoma City, Okla. Grandparents of the prospective groom are Charles Allen, of Hideaway, Texas and the late Shirley Allen.
The bride-elect is a graduate of St. John High School and Barton Community College Nursing program. She is employed at Great Bend Regional Hospital.
The prospective groom is a graduate of St. John High School and Fort Hays State University with a degree in education. He is employed by St. John Elementary School.
The wedding is planned for Oct. 15 at Eden Valley Church of the Brethren, in St. John.
