Heartland Center for Spirituality offers November prayer seminar
chu slt center-for-spirituality

The Heartland Center for Spirituality, 3600 Broadway Ave. in Great Bend, is taking registrations for “Communication with God Through Prayer,” starting at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3 and ending at 3 p.m. on Nov. 5.

Presenters will be Francine Schwarzenberger, OP, Phil St. Romain, Keith Funk, and Ann Axman.

Sponsors explain that Heartland Center for Spirituality understands these can be difficult times. So many voices and so many messages, so much noise. As followers of Jesus, we need to tune into and discover what God is saying to us. How can we respond in a Christ-like manner? These responses flow out of our hearts and inner life. So, over the next year, we are going to discover how we can “Deepen our Spiritual Connection with God, Self, and Others.”

This series serves as an invitation to pull away from your normal everyday activities to be still and present before God. Participants will review and practice several contemplative disciplines like Taizé Prayer, Lectio Divina (praying with scripture), and Centering Prayer. There will also be time to practice a contemplative walk on the grounds.

To register contact Ann Axman by email at ann@heartlandspirituality.orgor online at www.heartlandspirituality.org (under calendar of upcoming events). The cost is $110 for the full program, with Friday night room and breakfast and lunch on Saturday; $70 for commuters, with lunch on Saturday; or $40 for Zoom attendance on Saturday only.
