Diana and Gary Hertel will celebrate their 50th anniversary on May 24, 2024, with a dance from 8-10 p.m. at the American Legion, 1011 Kansas Ave. in Great Bend.

Diana Tuzicka and Gary Hertel were united in marriage on May 24, 1974, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Great Bend. Both are retired. The couple has two sons, Matt Hertel and wife Katy of Cottage Grove, Minn., and Darin Hertel and wife Nicole of Great Bend; and four grandchildren, Ava, Kolby, Keastyn and Klarya.
