The High on Life Recovery group will hold its “first annual” Turkey Fest this Saturday, Nov. 19, at 2701 17th St. in Great Bend. It is open to the community and no recovering addict will be turned away, sponsor David Crawford said.
The doors will open at 2 p.m. for socializing.
Dinner will be at 5 p.m. The Crawfords have eight turkeys and plan to prepare a traditional Thanksgiving meal with all of the trimmings. A $5 donation is requested.
Aaron N. from New Chance at Dodge City will speak at 7 p.m.
There will be a raffle drawing and an auction at 8 p.m. Must be present to win.
High on Life Recovery is a support group with open, nonsmoking meetings for all types of addiction offered seven days a week at the following times: Monday, noon; Tuesday, 7 p.m.; Wednesday, noon; Thursday, 7 p.m.; Friday, 7 p.m. (candlelight); Saturday, 7 p.m.; Sunday, 7 p.m. (6 p.m. on the last Sunday of the month for Birthday Night).
