Pianist/entertainer Jason Lyle Black will present “From Blockbusters to Broadway: 100 Hits from Screen to Stage” at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4 at the Great Bend Municipal Auditorium. This event is open to Golden Belt Community Concert Association members. No single concert tickets are available.

The Golden Belt Community Concert Association will welcome internationally acclaimed pianist, composer and entertainer Jason Lyle Black, to perform “Blockbusters to Broadway: 100 Hits from Screen to Stage” at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at the Great Bend Municipal Auditorium, Lakin and Stone.

This GBCCA event is open to association members. No single concert tickets are available. Because the association encourages young people’s interest in music and the performing arts, full-time students will be admitted for a $5 donation at the door.

Black’s unique sense of humor and clever ways of playing the piano have won him the enthusiasm of audiences across the United States and in more than 30 countries. He takes audiences on a journey through numerous musical styles, playing nearly 100 songs in his fast-paced show, all interwoven with his comedic stories; for example, “Songs Not to Play at Weddings and Funerals.”

When not entertaining on stage, Black works as an arranger and composer for piano, having authored three bestselling piano books with the world’s largest music publisher, Hal Leonard.

Piano students will be impressed by his remarkable ability to play as easily sitting backward as forward while performing music from Disney and Broadway classics, to songs from the Beatles, AC/DC, and movie theme songs.
