Michael and Lois Koochel of Great Bend celebrated their 50th anniversary on April 24, 2021, with a family get together hosted by their children.

Lois Beck and Michael Koochel were united in marriage on April 24, 1971, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Claflin. Michael retired after 50 years with Kinder Morgan. Lois is a retired teacher aide for Holy Family Catholic School.

The couple have three children, Brian (Erin) Koochel, Matthew (Sara) Koochel and Rebecca (Dallas) Guinn, all of Wichita; and three grandchildren, Leah and Felicity Koochel and Blaise Guinn.
