Larry and Marilyn Kopke will be celebrating their 60th Diamond wedding anniversary on Nov. 22, 2021, with a card shower. A family dinner is planned with a family trip scheduled in May 2022. 

The couple was united in marriage on Nov. 22, 1961, at the Highland Methodist Church in Topeka. They met at Washburn University where Larry was attending Washburn Law School and Marilyn was attending Washburn University. Larry practiced law for 14 years and later joined Marilyn in operating Cheyenne Travel Agency/Please Go Away Vacations.

The couple have two daughters, Cheryl Reinert of Great Bend and Merritt Kopke of Godfrey, Ill.; and one grandson Logan Reinert of Great Bend.
