With the Super Bowl fast approaching, here are three family friendly football movies to get you amped up for the big game.

Remember the Titans

Remember the Titans takes place in Alexandria, Virginia, shortly after schools around the country were forced to integrate white and black students. With this backdrop comes the story of 1971s T.C. Williams High School football team. Racial tensions are already high in the high school and get worse when a black head coach named Herman Boone is picked to be the head coach of the football team, pushing the former head coach and Virginia Hall of Fame candidate, Bill Yoast, into a coordinator position. Boone is charged with the heavy task of getting his diverse team to play together. Remember the Titans is a memorable story and movie about overcoming hatred that will teach the whole family good life lessons.

Rudy

Rudy is named after the films central character Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger. In the film, Rudy is an undersized linebacker who is trying to live out his dream of playing for the college football power Notre Dame. Despite terrific efforts in practice, Rudys coaches are convinced that he is still too small to play college football. The film chronicles Rudys quest to prove doubters wrong and show that its not the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog. Rudy is an inspiring film about following your dreams and should be a hit with your family.

Little Giants

In Little Giants, Kevin OShea is a former All-American athlete who now coaches an elite peewee football team. His brother Danny is anything but an athlete and stands in his brothers shadow throughout town. When Kevin cuts players he believes are not up to snuff for his peewee team, Danny decides to take the discarded players and form his own team. As fate would have it, the two teams end up meeting for a game of the elites against the misfits. Throw on Little Giants if you and your family are in the mood for a funny underdog story.
