Due to last weekend’s severe weather one performance of the musical “Radio Gals” was postponed 3 p.m. Sunday. The Sterling Community Theatre Troupe’s production of the musical is being presented in Hutchinsons’ Flag Theatre.
“Radio Gals,” is a musical comedy, with emphasis on comedy, and has been called “a rollicking riff on small-town Americana and the innocent fun of old-time music.” The book, music and lyrics for the show were written by Mike Carver and Mark Hardwick. The year is 1927, and in the Cedar Ridge, Ark., parlor of retired music teacher Hazel Hunt there is a nonstop radio broadcast and musical celebration in progress.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and are available at www.radiogals.com or at the door before the performance.
