NEW YORK Its not a stretch to think life would be much more enjoyable if it played out like a sitcom.

In the course of a 30-minute episode of our favorite comedies, there are friends around, love triangles to be a part of and hijinks that ensue. Lots and lots of hijinks.

I mean, how great would it be to have a laugh track accompany all of your best one-liners? You could live in an impossibly well-decorated and somehow affordable apartment in Manhattan while never working and spending copious amounts of time with your other seemingly unemployed friends in the most expensive city in the country.

Dare I say one of the best parts of living in a sitcom would be to have your own theme music, playing you in and out of rooms and punctuating great jokes.

Its only fitting that arguably the greatest sitcom in American television history has the most iconic theme music. The bass riff from Seinfeld is instantly recognizable. It brings back memories of Kramer sliding into Jerrys apartment, George panicking over some harebrained scheme and the shows namesake overanalyzing some small behavior of a woman hes dating that ultimately becomes a deal breaker. Again.

The reasons listed above are why YouTube user caliixxs decided to rig a door sensor to play the synth bass sounds when entering or exiting the premises. Its brilliant and would make coming home or leaving for work instantly more noteworthy.

The video, though posted in March, has turned viral since it surfaced on Reddit several days ago.
