We've seen it in movies a thousand times. A battalion marches as they sing a song or chant. We've heard all sorts of versions, but this is the first time I've heard Barbie Girl. - photo by John Clyde

RUSSIA OF COURSE When you think of iconic songs of the '90s, you think of things like "Smells Like Teen Spirit," "Alive," "My Heart Will Go On," "I Will Always Love You," and of course, "Barbie Girl."

Well, maybe not "Barbie Girl," but apparently it struck a chord with these Russian soldiers.

It's a really simple concept here, but this soldiers had to pick a song to march to that inspired courage, sparked patriotism and struck fear in the hearts of their enemies. With all of that in mind it makes complete logical sense that this group of soldiers picked "Barbie Girl" by the timeless band Aqua.

No, of course it doesn't make sense, but if you've ever perused YouTube for like 10 minutes, you know that no video from Russia really makes sense. So just sit back and enjoy the pure madness that is this video.
