Disney shared the first official trailer for Avengers: Infinity War on Wednesday morning.

The two-minute trailer brought together nearly every superhero seen in the Disney-Marvel universe, including favorites such as Captain America (Chris Evans), Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch).

Scenes in the trailer show these superheroes measuring up their biggest threat to date, Thanos (Josh Brolin).

"In time you will know what it is like to lose," Thanos says in the trailer. "To feel so desperately that you're right, yet to fail all the same."

Oh, and make sure to stay to the end of the trailer for a cool final scene.

According to CNN, Infinity War will conclude the current phase of Marvel Studios films, which began in 2008 with Iron Man.

The franchise has earned $13 billion worldwide.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said the upcoming Infinity War will serve as a finale to the first phase.

"There will be two distinct periods. Everything before (2019's 'Avengers 4') and everything after, Feige told Vanity Fair.

The new Avengers film hits theaters May 4, 2018.
