Manhattan SHORT will screen at the McPherson Opera House at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29. Manhattan SHORT is a collection of juried short films created by filmmakers from all over the world. The top 10 films are then presented during the Manhattan SHORT Film Festival, now in its 19th year, that runs from Sept. 23 to Oct. 2, when thousands of film lovers in over 250 cities gather in cinemas, museums and universities for the purpose of viewing and voting on the Finalist’s Films. The Opera House will screen the Tallgrass Satellite Show at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6. The Satellite Show is a series of short films included in the Tallgrass Film Festival in Wichita – the largest independent film festival in the State of Kansas – that runs from Oct. 12 through Oct. 16. Now in its 14th year, the Tallgrass Film Festival has become an internationally recognized, multi-day platform for world-class cinematic programming.
