Marion Burris of Hoisington will celebrate his 90th birthday with an open house from 1-3 p.m. on Oct. 20, 2018, at the Immanuel United Church of Christ, 701 N. Fritz Avenue in Ellinwood. Friends and family are invited to attend.

Hosts will be his children, Tom and Susan Burris, Riverside Mo., Donna and Pete Ash, Blanchard Okla., Kathy Burke, Antelope Calif., Kerry and Pat Underwood Blanchard, Okla., Mark and Sonja Burris, Ruston La., and Troy and Cindy Burris of Bushton. Marion also has 17 grandkids, 24 great-grandkids, four great-great-grandkids and four great-grandkids on the way.

Marion was born Oct. 22, 1928, and after his high school days in Emporia he has spent the rest of his life in Hoisington where he was married to Helen Burris until her death in 2013.
