Preceptor Pi, Beta Sigma Phi, discusses fundraisers

Preceptor Pi, Beta Sigma Phi, met on Tuesday, March 1, at the Farmers Bank & Trust Meeting Room.  

Members donated fruit at both March meetings for the ongoing project for USD 428 students. Member Janis Link thanked all for the fruit donations.

An upcoming chapter fundraising opportunity was discussed. The Reception Sisters will assist with a 50th Anniversary celebration on Saturday, April 9.  

Social Chairman, Karen Reif, suggested members travel to Ellinwood for lunch on Tuesday, March 22.  

Nancy Sundahl, President of the Xi Delta Upsilon Chapter, invited Preceptor Pi to the Founder’s Day celebration to be held on Tuesday, April 26.  

Officers were elected for the 2022-23 year. They include President Janis Link, Vice President Susan Brown, Treasurer Karen Reif and  Secretary Brenda Black. Installation will take place at the meeting on May 3.

Janis Link facilitated an interesting program. Prior to the meeting, members gathered at the High Rise to tour the re-modeled floors. Lynn Fleming showed two different floor plans.   

On Tuesday, March 15, the chapter met at Farmers Bank & Trust Meeting Room.  

President Judy Krebaum, received the Founder’s Day mailing and the new Torch from International.   

The program was presented by Susan Coulson who shared interesting facts about the Russell Stover Candy Company that was started in 1923 with seven employees in Mrs. Stover’s kitchen making hand crafted candies in small batches. Russell Stover has grown to four factories and 2,900 employees making 18 million pieces of a candy a day. The best part of the program was the box of Russell Stover candy Susan brought to share.  

The next meeting of Preceptor Pi will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, at the Farmers Bank & Trust Meeting Room.
