The grandchildren of Hallie and Charley Baeumel held a family reunion on Oct. 16 at Bella-Luna in Wichita.
Those present were Jeanie (Shives) Ruby of Kansas City, Dennis Shives and wife Elaine of San Marcos, Calif., Loretta (Baeumel Dipman) Moss of Larned, Carolyn (Baeumel Biles) Cline of El Dorado, Bill Jarboe of Fort Smith, Ark., and Weldon Campbell and wife Nancy, daughters Ruthie and Rebecca (Campbell) Hiltunen and son Travis, all of Great Bend.
Carolyn Cline made a cake with pictures of each cousin on it and decorated with fall colors. She works at Sam’s as a bake in Wichita.
The cousins brought pictures to share and albums of the Baeumel ancestry. Rebecca Hiltunen gave each cousin a piece of cross stitching that he mother, Etta Campbell, had made before her passing on Sept. 20. The gift will be treasured.
Each person told what had been going on in their lives in the last 50 years.
Another reunion is being planned. Anyone related to the Baeumel lineage can contact Loretta (Baeumel) Moss at P.O. Box 435, Larned, Ks., 67550 or call 620-285-3817.
