The family of Joe and Mary Debes gathered on July 6 for visiting and fun at the Hoisington Activity Center.
Delicious food, volleyball, basketball, and fun games were enjoyed by over 80 people. Attending, were families of Le and Connie Debes of Spokane Wash., Joe and Renita Debes of Littleton, Colo., Ginger and Harold Foos of Greeley, Colo., Mary Ann and Alan Thornburg of Rapid City, S.D., Larry Vink of Topeka and the late Joan Vink, Pat and Bill Radke and Marjorie and Bob Ludwig, all of Hoisington, and Bernice and Ron Capps of Newton.
Several of the family gathered at the Hoisington Pizza Hut for a meal and visiting, on Friday, the evening before the big event. The late Joe Debes sold part of his farm ground to Essex Group Inc., just east of Hoisington, many years ago. Hoisington is where the Debes family calls “home”.
