The descendants of John and Abi Tompkins gathered in St. John for their annual reunion on July 19, at the IOOF Hall. A covered dish dinner was followed by visiting and a photo session.
Five first cousins were in attendance. Happy Birthday was sang to Mark Tompkins who was celebrating his birthday that day. Cards were signed for several relatives who could not come due to sickness.
Those present were Rae Ann Brack, Denis and Teresa Bachand and Kenneth and Fern Tompkins, of Great Bend; Mary Ann Soerries, Bryan Evans and Matt and Amanda Meiklejohn, Jace and Maya, of Pratt; Don and Martha Tompkins of Pittsburg; Janet Ferguson and Roger and Patty Wellman, of Wichita; Todd Tompkins of Oberlin; Marvin and Ozelle Julian of Stafford. and the hosts Mark and Doris Tompkins and Kevin and Laura Davis, of St. John.
