Wheatland School will be celebrating the 50th Reunion of the school’s closing in 1966. An invitation goes to teachers, staff, and their parents who attended the southern Barton County country school. The reunion will be held in Ellinwood on July 16, 2016, in conjunction with the Ellinwood After Harvest Festival.
The Wheatland School Reunion Committee is seeking to make contact with any/all persons who attended Wheatland during its existence. The committee of Lorrayne Eveleigh, Wayne DeWerff, Donna Bryant, David Rose, Judy Hayes, Bill Alghrim, Donna Moore, Kathy Roberts, and Sharon Sturgis have already met three times and have kick-started plans for this finale’ reunion. While some email contacts have been saved from the 2011 Reunion, most will need to be updated.
