To celebrate Pilot International Founders’ Month, the Pilot Club of Great Bend annually honors one of its members by designating her Pilot International Club Ambassador. Vicki Richardson was chosen as the Great Bend Pilot International (PI) Ambassador for 2022-2023.

The PI Ambassador is a member who has an active role within the club, promotes and supports its activities, is active in projects that address Pilot International’s core areas of service focus: Brain Safety & Fitness, and Caring for Families in Times of Need; and faithfully attends meeting, giving generously of her time to assist with service projects and fundraising activities.

The Pilot Club of Great Bend also made a contribution to the Pilot International Founders Fund in Richardson’s honor. The Pilot International Founders Fund provides scholarships that support graduate and undergraduate students working in fields related to Pilot International’s main areas of service focus. Pilot International and its local Pilot Clubs are able to improve the lives of others through education, volunteerism, financial support and research.

Pilot International’s mission is to influence positive change in communities throughout the world. As a community based volunteer service organization, founded in 1921 in Macon, Georgia, on the guiding principles of “Friendship and Service” through charitable projects, community service, education. Pilots come from all walks of life and are people who want to give back to their communities. With almost 400 Pilot Clubs, Pilots can be found across the US, and also in The Bahamas, Japan, and South Africa.

The Pilot Club is always looking for members and volunteers to carry out its mission to “Do More. Care More. Be More.”  The club meets at noon on the first and third Tuesdays of the month and at 5:15 p.m. on the fifth Tuesdays at Perkins Restaurant, 2920 10th St.
