Sterling theatre artist Piper Harding plays Mary mother of Jesus in the original one-act play “Mary, Mary, and Lydia” set for this weekend at Sterling’s Encounter Church. The play centers on an encounter between Mary Magdelene, Mary the mother of Jesus and Lydia of Thyatira. The production will feature an original song by area musician Randy Key. The play will be presented at 7 p.m. both Friday and Saturday, Aug. 25 and 26, and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 27, at the Encounter Church, 407 N. 6th Street, Sterling. No admission will be charged.
