Hello from the Great Bend Public Library!
On Monday, Feb. 19, children in grade 3 through grade 5 are welcome to come to our Innovation Station in the Children’s Area at 4 p.m., where they will get to participate in STEM activities. Crochet will be held in the Main Conference Room at 6 p.m. for anyone grade 7 and older. At 6:30 p.m. in the Children’s Area, wear your pajamas and bring a pillow and a blanket! We are having a special Family Fort Night Story Time, where we will make forts and enjoy stories, songs, snacks, and fun!
Tuesday, Feb. 20, the Children’s Area will be hosting Baby Bounce Story Time at 9:30 a.m. and Toddler Story Time at 10:30 a.m. If you are a teen in grade 6 through grade 12 who loves to write, join us in the Teen Spot at 4 p.m. for the Teen Writing Group! Text @t33nwrite to 810810 to sign up for reminders. The monthly Open Book Club meeting will take place in the Magazine Area at 7 p.m.
In the morning on Wednesday, Feb. 21, bring the kids to Bilingual Story Time at 10:30 a.m.
Thursday, Feb. 22, Crochet will be in the Main Conference Room at 3 p.m. Teens grade 6 through grade 12 are invited to test their skills in the Teen Spot at 4 p.m. to see who will be the best Ramen Noodle Iron Chef!
On Friday, Feb. 23, Pre-School Story Time will be at 10:30 a.m. in the Children’s Area. Those interested in learning to use the 3D Printer can sign up for a spot in the instructional class, which will be in the Kansas Room at 3:30 p.m.
Our Crochet, 3D Printer, and Tinkercad Design Classes are open to those in grade 7 and older. Anyone grade 6 and younger must be accompanied by someone grade 7 and older.
Are you looking for assistance in filing your taxes? RSVP will be using Great Bend Public Library as their outreach point to help individuals with their tax returns. Call 620-792-1614 to set up an appointment.
