Leslie Wise and Nathan Humphreys were united in marriage on Aug. 10 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ellinwood in a ceremony officiated by Father Trong Tran. Parents of the couple are Andy and Joanie Wise of Ellinwood, and Robert and Lori Humphreys of Sterling. Grandparents of the bride are Roy and Rosemary Robl and Jack and Sondra Wise, all of Ellinwood. Grandparents of the groom are Voyle Chance of Fowler, and the late Velma Chance, and the late James and Mary Humphreys.
The bride wore a Maggie Sottero satin dress asymmetrically pleated across the dropped waist bodice and gently gathered through the A-line skirt, with a vintage inspired crystal embellishment on the side hip. It had a sweetheart neckline finished with a corset closure. Bridesmaids were Kendra Kaiser and Keri Vinduska, sisters of the bride, Kelsey Pippitt, Ashley Dreiling, and Shawna Robl.
Groomsmen were Kaleb Humphreys and Seth Humphreys, brothers of the groom, Kurt Thomas, Dallas Schnurr, and Kevin Laudermilk.
The bride is a graduate of the University of Kansas. She is employed as a registered nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
The groom is a graduate of Colorado Technical University in Kansas City. He is employed as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technician at St. Luke’s South in Overland Park.
After a honeymoon in the Dominican Republic, the couple resides in Overland Park.
