Crystal Gray and Peter Kautz were united in marriage on June 8 at the Topeka Country Club in a double ring ceremony officiated by Noel Stephens. Parents of the bride are Loretta and Lewis Gray of Great Bend. Parents of the groom are Pamela and Frederick Kautz of Leawood. Grandparents of the bride are Marjorie and Fordyce Gray of Peabody and Lydia and Harold Miller of Billings, Mont. Grandparents of the groom are Louise and Fred Kautz of Atchison and Daphne Paton and Jim Paton of Australia.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory satin strapless A-line gown with an adorned sash and chapel length veil. Flowers included ivory and lavender roses; pink, purple, and white daisies; and blue delphinium.
Matron of honor was Misty Straub, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Allison Smith and Lindsey Stewart.
Best man was Ben Pate, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Galen Peak and Adam Stewart.
The usher was Landon Gray, brother of the bride.
Flower girl was Makeila Straub, niece of the bride. Ring bearer was Alexander Pate, nephew of the groom.
Candlelighter was Makenna Straub, niece of the bride.
Gift attendant was Genevieve Kautz, sister of groom.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Great Bend High School. She graduated from Emporia State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Masters degree in School Counseling. She is employed as a K-12 school counselor.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of Blue Valley High School. He graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of General Studies degree in Economics. He is the administrator of Medicalodges in Pittsburg.
The couple currently resides in Pittsburg.
