8-period schedule on USD 428 agenda

The Great Bend USD 428 Board of Education will decide Monday whether or not to approve an eight-period day at Great Bend High School, replacing the current seven-period schedule. The school board will meet at 5 p.m. on March 4 at the District Education Center, 201 South Patton Road.

Other items on the agenda include the second reading of the English Language Arts curriculum for middle school and high school, flooring bids at Jefferson Elementary, the purchase of 125 new desktop computers and 90 laptop computers, authorization to sell old computers, adoption of a new assessment system, and information on the perfect attendance bicycle giveaway program, state accreditation and state assessments.
