A maintenance contract for 911’s voice recording system is on the agenda for the next Barton County Commission meeting, set for 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, in Room 106 of the courthouse. The Commission meeting will be live-streamed through Microsoft Teams and may be viewed at https://bit.ly/3BkgzSt

Deana Popp, 911 director, and Casey Hubbard, investigator/office manager, will provide details on the voice logger, which Communications purchased in partnership with the County Attorney’s Office in 2018. The logger is used to create audio recordings from telephones, radios, microphones and other sources. The maintenance contract ends on Nov. 30 and the two offices request extending it for another year, again sharing the expense.

Also on the agenda is the designation of a voting delegate and alternates for the Kansas Association of Counties Annual Conference from Dec. 3-5 in Wichita.
