American Petroleum Institute’s Western Kansas chapter will have its first fall 2011 meeting Wednesday evening at The Club at StoneRidge. Social hour is at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:30 and the program at 8.

Mike Reed, president of Sunrise Oil field Supply Inc., and Mike Lovelady, vice president, will speak on "Innovative, Quality, Cost Effective Casing Products." They will discuss the process they went through to develop, test and market oilfield casing products that are designed to provide more consistent tensile and yield strengths where quality, cost-effective casing products are desired by independent oil and gas producers. API meetings are open to anyone in the oil and gas industry or who is interested in the presentation. A $10 cover charge for the social hour, chicken fried steak dinner and program will be collected at the door.
