A 22-year-old man was arrested after a vehicular pursuit Sunday night in Great Bend. No one was injured.
Abram Delgadillo was booked into the Barton County Jail in lieu of bond on suspicion of felony flee and elude, reckless driving, driving under the influence and running stop signs.
Sgt. Gary Davis with the Great Bend Police Department reports an officer on patrol saw a black Ford Mustang run a stop sign at 10th and Heizer at 10:14 p.m. “The officer tried to stop the car but it took off.”
The driver allegedly turned off the car lights and made numerous turns to elude the officer. The officer did lose sight of the Mustang, which hit another vehicle at Eighth and Pine, driven by Haley Deines, at 10:17 p.m. The officer located the Mustang again and pursued it to the 900 block of Heizer Street, where the driver, Delgadillo, was pulled over and arrested.
Barton County Sheriff’s Office assisted in handling the incident.
