Barton Community College offers sign language course

Barton Community College is offering an American Sign Language course from 6-8:30 p.m. every Tuesday from Jan. 15 through May 7 in room S-151 of the Science and Math Building.
American Sign Language uses hand motions, facial expressions and body language to convey meaning. Students will learn many portions of the language including the alphabet, numbers and other commonly used words and phrases as well as an understanding of the history of the language.
The instructor will be Gaye Callich.  Students will earn three credit-hours.  For more information on the course or to register contact training@bartonccc.edu or 620-792-9255.
