Michael Pata, 18, Hoisington, received minor injuries Sunday night after rolling a Ford Expedition in the 600 block of NW 20 Ave.
Barton County Sheriff’s Office reports Pata was driving south at 11:40 p.m. when he was distracted by the use of a cellular phone and ran off the road into the west ditch. He over-corrected his steering and the vehicle re-entered the roadway in a sideways skid, entered the east ditch and rolled one full time after hitting the embankment.
Hoisington Emergency Medical Service responded and Pata was treated at the scene for minor cuts.
