Country gospel singers performing at Kansas State Fair

Melanie Ryan of Great Bend and Nina Jerke of Wichita (formerly of Great Bend) will be performing together at the Kansas State Fair for the fourth year.

They will appear at the Bretz Law Arena at 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12; 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15; and 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17. They will perform on the Lake Talbot Stage at 4:40 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18.

On Saturday they will be accompanied by; Eric Jerke, Great Bend native, on electric guitar and ukulele, Steve Hickel of Claflin on bass and Gary Parr of Great Bend on drums. The show is a mixture of original songs written by Ryan, and country, contemporary gospel, patriotic and oldies like "Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree" and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow."

Nina and Eric Jerke will sing inspirational music at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12, at the Lake Talbot Stage.
