EDWARDS COUNTY —  An Edwards County woman was flown from the scene of a one-vehicle accident on Thursday, Kansas Highway Patrol reports.
Elisha M. Froetschner, 29, Kinsley, was northbound on 20th Ave. in Edwards County, a eighth of a mile east of Offerle on 20th Ave. north of U.S. 50, at 6:15 p.m. When she attempted to stop suddenly, Froetschner lost control of the Chevrolet Tahoe and the vehicle entered the east ditch, spun around and slid onto the driver side. She was airlifted from the scene by Life Team and taken to Wesley Hospital in Wichita. A hospital spokesman said she remained in serious condition Saturday afternoon. Passenger Addyson M. Froetschner, 6, was transported from the scene by Edwards County Emergency Medical Service to Western Plains Regional Hospital in Dodge City with undetermined injuries. Two other children in the Tahoe, ages 4 years and 23 months, were not injured.
No one in the vehicle was wearing a safety restraint.
