Free program shows how to 'Cook Once - Eat for a Month'

The Great Bend Recreation Commission will host “Cook Once - Eat for a Month,” at noon Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the Great Bend Activity Center, 2715 18th St. This free Stop ‘N Learn program will also be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, at the Senior Center, 2005 Kansas Ave.
During this class, participants will learn the organizational skills to make and freeze several main dishes at one time. Recipes will be shared.
Presenter Donna Krug from the Barton County Extension explains, the benefits of family mealtime are many, but the fast paced society we live in makes sitting down to a meal together challenging. The Cook Once method helps families of all ages save time and money as they prepare a nutritious meal.
