Bobby Gibson from McPherson will give the program, “The REALLY Good Ole Days?” at the Barton County Historical Society meeting on Monday, Nov. 26.
The meeting and free program will be at 7:30 p.m. in the museum, located just south of the Arkansas River bridge on U.S. 281 in Great Bend.
Gibson is a retired educator, school administrator, coach, Sunday school teacher, church Deacon, church Elder, a would-be writer and a humorous speaker on various topics. His stories and recollection of the “good olde days” are described as amusing, adventuresome and educational. He and his wife are true trail enthusiasts, having traveled and researched many of the trails of Kansas and those in surrounding states.
