Golden Belt Home Health & Hospice (GBHH&H) will sponsor a Monday evening grief support group in Great Bend from Jan. 16 through March 12. It will meet from 6:30-8 p.m. each Monday in Conference Room 103 of the Medical Building just south of St. Rose Ambulatory & Surgery Center, 3520 Lakin; the entrance is on Lincoln St.

Hospice Chaplain John Grummon and GBHH&H Social Worker Cathy Soeken will facilitate the group. "Guided by qualified facilitators, group members will provide support and healing for one another," Grummon said. "This group setting is a safe place to share while doing the important work of mourning and learning new ways to approach problems."

All discussions are confidential, Soeken added. "Participants can feel free to share their feelings, thoughts and experiences. Sharing memories and photos, poetry or other mementos is encouraged. This is a good way to allow other group members the opportunity to know more about the loved ones being mourned."

Anyone interested in attending the grief support group may contact Grummon for further details by calling 620-792-8171.
