The Great Bend City Band will host instrumental members of the Great Bend Middle School, Thursday, June 26,  with a march featuring the middle school students and the Great Bend City Band.
The combined ensemble piece will be part of the concert program at the courthouse square band shell. The theme for the concert will be tropical music. The Great Bend Middle School instrumental students are under the direction of GBMS Band Director Austin Russell.
On Friday, June 27, a 16-piece jazz band will perform all styles of jazz music at the same venue. Music from the 1940s to the present will be featured. Members of the jazz band are from the Great Bend City Band.
Both concerts begin at 8:15 p.m. and are free and open to the public.
