Poche dolls to be shown in Great Bend

281 Bypass Antiques, located at 1135 U.S. 281 Bypass in Great Bend, will host a reception for artist Dustin Poche from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday May 11.
Russell native Dustin Poche is a art doll sculptor with a professional background in costume design, textiles and illustration within the New York fashion industry and is featured in the summer issue (May 1, 2013) of Art Doll Quarterly, a national publication of Stampington and Company. The magazine, not available locally, will be on sale at 281 Bypass Antiques for Poche to autograph.
The featured doll, Miss Havisham, a character in the 1861 Charles Dickens novel “Great Expectations,” will be on display among numerous heirloom quality creations by Poche. Most of his work is for sale at 281 Bypass Antiques, his website www.dustinpoche.com, and Mission Road Antique Mall in Prairie Village. Refreshments will be served.
