Linh Reiter of Great Bend won the first-place jackpot of $750 at the recent Sunflower Diversified Services poker tournament. Robert Unger of Hudson won $300 for second place and Bill Sutton of Dodge City $150 for third.

From fourth through eighth places were Robert Walker of Timken, $75; Jaimee Anellanes of Great Bend, $50; Robert Anderson of Ellinwood, $40; Lonnie Haden of Ellsworth, $30; and Mike Brooks of Ellsworth, $25.

Two players donated their winnings back to Sunflower, which serves infants, toddlers and adults with developmental disabilities and delays. Some donated their poker bounties back to the non-profit agency too.

"We appreciate everyone’s participation and generosity," said Connie Oetken, director of development. "The almost $350 we raised will be used for the special needs of our neighbors with disabilities."

The next Sunflower Texas Hold ‘Em tournament is set for Sunday, Nov. 13 at the Highland Hotel & Convention Center in Great Bend.
