'Sister Moon' to be shown at convent

Dominican Sisters of Peace will show the 1972 motion picture “Sister Moon” at 6:15 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, in the auditorium of the Motherhouse, 3600 Broadway Ave. A freewill donation is requested. Refreshments and discussion will follow the movie.
“Sister Moon” is a dramatization of events in the life of St. Francis of Assisi, from before his conversion experience through his audience with the Pope, including his friendship with St. Clare. Running time is 124 minutes.
This is the first movie of the year in the sisters’ “Movies with a Message” series. Other upcoming movies are “Doubt” (2008) on Feb. 22; “Journey of the Universe” (2011) on March 22; and “The Big Year” (2011) on April 26.
