This week’s snow has started the competition for the Great Bend Recreation Commission’s annual snow sculpture contest.
Program Coordinator Garet Fitzpatrick invites people to send photos of their creations to GBRC, P.O. Box 353, Great Bend, KS 67530, or e-mail them to gfitzpatrick@gbrc.kscoxmail.com. “Please send us a list of all the participants that helped make your creation,” he said. “We will also need the mailing address and phone number of the contact person for your creation.”
The contest will run through March 31, and winners will be announced the first week of April. The first-place entry will receive a $25 gift card and the second-place entry will receive a $15 gift card donated by Walmart.
