Time management is focus of November Continuing Nursing Education

"Time Management: Time Is Life — Make the Most of It" is the focus of Barton Community College’s Continuing Nursing Education set for 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 20, in the college’s Fine Arts Building Seminar Room, F-30. Speaker will be Jenni Reling, M.S., B.S.

This seminar is for registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, licensed mental health technicians and other health-care professionals. The college is approved as a provider of Continued Nursing Education by the Kansas State Board of Nursing.

Participants will learn to examine personal and professional priorities and consider how to utilize their priorities to set goals; explore the concept of "margin" and how that benefits one’s health, emotions, time and finances; brainstorm additional time management strategies suitable for personal, family and workplace environments; discuss methods for successful delegation and other time "investments"; and describe strategies to enhance organization, time balance and productivity.

Registration is $75, which includes one-half college credit, continuing education hours, materials and refreshments. This course offering is approved for 7.5 contact hours applicable for RN, LPN and LMHT re-licensure; Kansas State Board of Nursing provider number: LT0265-1010.
