The Touched by Cancer Support Group has revised its September schedule, spokesman Dana Foss said.
This week’s meeting is scheduled at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the St. Dominic Room at St. Rose Ambulatory & Surgery Center, 3515 Broadway Ave., where there will be a free interactive television program on resilience and living with chronic illness. That meeting is coordinated through the Midwest Kansas Alliance and the KU Cancer Center.
The Touched by Cancer Support Group’s next meeting at 5:45 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Heartland Cancer Center, 204 Cleveland.
Topics can include anything from nutrition to financial aid. Participants may feel free to suggest topics for discussion or speakers who can share specific information.
The group will hold its annual balloon launch at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at the Heartland Cancer Center.
Touched by Cancer Group meetings and activities are open to everyone currently fighting the disease, cancer survivors or families and friends of those involved in all phases of the fight.
