Two killed in accident Friday

Individuals from Greensburg and Woodston died and two people from Garfield sustained possible injury Friday when two pickups collided in Ellis County.
Kansas Highway Patrol reports Jesse D. Pfannenstiel, 40, of Woodston, was driving west on Feedlot Road at 7:30 p.m. and Kari Neilson, 24, of Garfield, was driving north on U.S. 183 when Pfannenstiel failed to stop at a stop sign. The Dodge pickup he was driving was hit on the driver’s side door by the other pickup, a Dodge Ram. Pfannelstiel and Justin Kennedy, 26, a passenger in the Neilson pickup, were killed. Kari Neilson and 3-year-old Brantley Neilson were taken to Hays Medical Center with possible injuries.
