Vehicles burglarized on Christmas day

Crime Stoppers is seeking information about Christmas-day burglaries that occurred in Great Bend. Police Chief Dean Akings reports that between 1 and 8 p.m. on Dec. 25, vehicles parked in the apartment complex at 717 Coolidge St. were burglarized. Items taken included an Alpine stereo; a Springfield 9 mm handgun with two magazines, holster, pouch and ammunition; a Blade Scout remote control helicopter; a Python keyless entry system; cigarettes; hand tools; and cash. Loss exceeded $3,100.
