According to Donna Krug, Barton County family and consumer science agent, the eight-week fitness challenge, has become a positive habit for many Barton County residents. Nearly 375 people participated this year. A Walk Kansas celebration is planned for 5:15 p.m. Thursday, at the Southeast shelter at Vet’s Lake. Dee Krier will share a short presentation about Tai Chi with Walk KS participants. Healthy refreshments and door prizes will also be part of the celebration. The program is free and open to everyone.
