Auditions set for 'Love, Sex, and the IRS'

Auditions for Great Bend Community Theatre’s production of “Love, Sex, and the IRS,” a comedy by William Van Zandt and Jane Milmore, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, and 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, at the Crest Theater, 1908 Lakin Ave.
Performance dates are Feb. 23–26. Director: Ken Harton.
There are roles for two males age 20-30; two females age 20-30; one male age 20-60+; one female age 40-60+; and two males or females age 20-60+.


Ken Harton will direct this exciting comedy with gags, mistaken identities and hilarious lines. The story line features Jon who has been filing tax returns claiming his guy-roommate, Leslie, as his wife to save money. The day of reckoning comes when the Internal Revenue Service comes to investigate. Leslie masquerades as a housewife, aided by Jon’s fiancée, Kate. Complicating matters further, Leslie and Kate are having an affair behind Jon’s back.


No advance preparation is necessary for the auditions. Anyone interested in supporting the arts is invited to become involved with GBCT and become a member.
