The Barton County Historical Society will be closed Saturday for Independence Day.  Regular hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. The Barton County Museum and Village is located just south of the Arkansas River Bridge in Great Bend on U.S. 281.
