Barton County Medical Society recently made a donation to the Sr. Mary Ann Klein, OP Nursing Endowment at the Golden Belt Community Foundation. The endowment was started by Barton Community College Foundation and the former St. Rose Foundation to provide funding and support for the recruitment, retention, and training of health professionals and health educators, including opportunities for scholarships, equipment for training and continuing education. In the past this endowment supported the purchase of an additional SimPad controller at Barton Community College to aid in the training of new nurses.
