The Barton Community College Gymnasium floor is filled with the blue caps and gowns of more than 140 graduates who chose to walk at the college’s 47th annual commencement ceremony Friday evening. Graduates from all walks of life and multiple countries heard from their educators, peers and guest speaker Col. John Lawrence, Garrison Commander of Fort Riley, before receiving their degrees. At the podium is Dean of Student Services Angie Maddy.
